Review on 🎧 HIFIMAN Ananda-BT: High-Resolution Bluetooth Over-Ear Planar Magnetic Headphones with Mic & Travel Case - APTX-HD, HWA, LDAC Supported by Travis Kjar

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Hopelessly crippled, despite the fact that these are the best sounding Bluetooth headphones out there.

These really are the best bluetooth headphones in the world but I sent them back. Why? Hifiman decided to hopelessly ruin these headphones by not allowing you to connect them to a dedicated DAC/amp combo. So basically you have $800 headphones permanently tied to a $50 DAC/amp combo with a rare balanced category advantage. The sound reproduced here doesn't even come close to that of an Ananda NonBT connected to a $500 balanced external headphone amp/DAC. This version will never be able to reproduce the sounds of its cheaper brother. To remove that feature, these headphones are essentially going from must-haves to must-haves. If they re-release this headset with the ability to connect to conventional combo amps and DACs like any other headphone, in addition to its current feature set and integrated DAC/amp and Bluetooth options, then it's the best buy in the world whole world. Headphones IMHO. Meanwhile, Ananda-BT. You are trash kid.

Pros
  • β€»NEO "supernano" (NsD) HIFIMAN Diaphragm: The new NSD is 80% thinner than previous designs, resulting in fast response and detailed images with rich, full spectrum sound.
