I'm a hot sleeper and have tried a TON of ice packs but none of them work. They heat up while you sleep and many are too hard or uncomfortable. Many of them caused neck pain. That's great! It's really cool to the touch and doesn't stay that cool at night as long as you're lying on it, but it still saps heat from you meaning it doesn't get hot like everyone else. This is also true in terms of comfort. Not too much so that your head is drooping and your neck is in a non-tilted position. If I had one complaint about this pillow it would be that both sides are not cold and that it is very expensive but other than that this thing is great!
