I like lightbulbs but as others have said I had to lengthen the pins to get them in contact with the sockets. "Normal light bulbs" are designed to be used fully. I had to put the wires on the pins to make them long enough. I have a soldier iron so it was easy. But if you don't have it or don't want to, it won't work. If you lengthen the pins, it must be a very stiff wire. I used pins cut from old lightbulbs. I don't even know where to get the right cable. You should add 1/2 inch to the length of the teeth. You can always shorten them if necessary. But that probably never would have happened. Also note that they are not dimmable. You must always use the high setting if what you are using has multiple brightness settings. Hope that helps.
