Although the product was originally rated 5 stars, I can't say the same for recently bought units. Unfortunately, when I bought it for my second PS4, I found that the quality of the second dropped a lot. It's usable but extremely annoying to use. While my original (still works like new) holds the controllers tightly, making alignment easy and secure, the new ones are very sloppy and require careful positioning to get them seated. The locking clips are now oversized, allowing for more up and down movement potential, which is transferred to the micro USB adapter. Now they both rock on my new device but are still solid on my old one. Even removing one controller is often enough to reset the second controller. And even after seeing that both controllers are seated before leaving the room, I often come back the next day to see that one (or both) has reset to the point of no contact, which will stop the loading process. Maybe it was just one unit, I grabbed one from the local big box and was greeted with the same casual standards. It seems that as this charging station has grown in popularity, the workmanship has waned. It's a shame, because up until this generation it was always a top-of-the-line product. I wish I could say it was just a bad apple but I am having similar issues with my XB1 PDP Energizer Station which was purchased around the same time. Bottom line, it's a dice game at the moment. If you get one of the earlier devices for this generation, five stars. If you can get one of the lesser quality ones, which seem to be becoming more common, one star. So I'm reducing my initial rating from five to three by adding the average of the two. ----- First review to come ----- I also have a version of this Xbox 360 charging station for my HTPC. I pre-ordered the PS4 version on Revain a few days after it came out, based on my experience so far. I've been with the PS4 charging station for about a month now and I love it. The bright colors complement all other current-gen colors (PS4/Vita Light Blue and Orange) and blend beautifully with the background and blend with other components. Didn't realize it was "too bright" like some reviews say, and it's only four feet to the left of my TV. have now. However, despite concerns that it might be unstable when connecting controllers, I had no problems. It also initially took two hands and some care to place the controller in the docking station, but once I understood the angle, it became one-handed operation. Fully charged in about an hour and a half to two hours. Although the web or the documentation (brochure) doesn't specifically state that it does one way or another, I believe that once the controller is fully charged, the batteries stop charging. Since the indicator light shows that it is fully charged, charging was probably switched off at this point as well.
