Unlike the toner systems for our computer printers, copiers like the Kyocera TASKalfa 4551ci use a "waste toner" container. It's always a good idea to have one handy, because when it's full, the print job will stall until you replace it (or clean it up, which can make a mess). That's easy! You just pop out and insert a new one. I learned this the hard way!
