Its a metal platform bed, it slides around the floor ( wood floors), ended up getting 2 frames, the other one is not of what I wanted, in the process of trying to return item, and they want me to pay for the return shipping, even tho I'm a prime member. Now I have used Ebay ALOT in the past couple of years and I've never had this issue before, now . Also the little plastic pieces you stick on the sides so the bed won't slide off, just pop off randomly and you cant use them with a bed skirt so I just stopped fighting them. UPDATE-so after using this awful frame because I was stuck with it.so I have used this for the past couple months and it broke, the middle leg that supports the frame to the floor snapped right off.smh not worth any money at all
