I bought this speaker because Consumer Reports gave it the highest rating. Of the smaller systems tested, only this system scored 5/5 for sound quality. It fits this rating. I only use it with Bluetooth and my iPad or iPhone. I have it about 2.10 m high, on a wide cupboard in the living room, and I control it with a small remote control. It's important to remember that it can only connect to one source at a time and doesn't turn itself off automatically. So if you connect it to your iPhone and then find that you can't connect to your iPad, go back to your iPhone and disconnect that first. Then the iPad connects without any problems. There is a thick cable connecting two speakers. They don't connect to each other via Bluetooth. This can affect where you place your speakers. I'm not an audiophile, but the sound quality is better than any sound system I've had in the last fifty years. I hear a lot of things on the records I play that I've never heard before.
