You can also bend the rim to make it more fashionable if you want. It is nice and light, seems like it will be cool on the hottest day.The fact that this hat can bend is great. If you sit in a beach chair, you can press it down toward your back so you can sit back in it. The next competitor hat, that I have, Solumbra, has a metal rod around the perimeter. This prevents you from folding that one. And you can't sit back in a chaisse.Just one Con: it feels stiff, a little like paper. But mine is new. I don't know if it gets softer. But I still recommend this hat highly.
