Bought because of the strength of the metal. was disappointed

I used to have a Fitbit Alta. I also ride a motorcycle. Unfortunately, the silicone band that my previous Fitbit came with started to tear at the point where the band connected to the device. I should have been more worried but I wasn't and one day I left work on my motorcycle with my Fitbit on my wrist and when I got home my Fitbit was gone. Wind or vibration must have pushed the standard strap to its limit and I was out of a Fitbit. Well, this Fitbit was replaced with a Charge 2, and when I noticed that its silicone strap was starting to crack the same way, I didn't hesitate to find a stronger replacement (this band). Metal construction was a must, I wanted something durable that wouldn't leave my Fitbit who knows where. At first I was very happy with this band. The connection between the Fitbit and the band is made of metal and is extremely unlikely to fail. And while I wouldn't say it looks great, it's not bad either. That's all I cared about, I just didn't want anything ugly. So I was happy. First. But I immediately noticed that the metal mesh that makes up the strap sticks to things. He put on a t-shirt or jacket and kept clinging to a piece of cloth. Okay, a bit annoying, but a price to pay for durability I guess. However, over time, the mesh began to break, and more loose metal threads protruded. The more he clung to things the more he was pulled on said things and the more/worse the loose metal threads got and the more he clung to things and pulled again. rinse and repeat. After a few months of ownership I reverted to my original strap until my new strap arrived, this time leather. This group is not worth it. High expectations but ultimately disappointment.
