I have a 2019 MacBook Pro and an OWC Thunderbolt 3 Dock that I use for work. When this UGREEN cable is connected to the Thunderbolt ports on the back of the OWC dock and the Mac, I see a "Cannot use Thunderbolt accessory" message on the Mac (see screenshot). Keyboard, mouse and ethernet on the docking station are not recognized. I understand, of course, that this is not a Thunderbolt cable. However, it charges electricity even with this message. I then tried plugging the cable into the OWC dock's front port labeled "USB 3.1 Gen 2". This time there was no on-screen error message, but the Mac still had no keyboard, mouse, and ethernet connectivity on the OWC dock. Of course, I understand, the front connector on the docking station is for accessories. Again it could be charged. My current Monoprice USB-C 3.1 Gen2 10Gb/s cable (no Thunderbolt) works and I saw in the product description "USB 2.0 supports 480 Mb/s data transfer rate" so I was half hoping for a mouse. , keyboard and ethernet work (at low speeds) but unfortunately this cable doesn't work with this Mac and dock combo.
