Review on Pimpernel Multi-Color Placemats (6010648013) by Trey Ali

Chunky cork-backed napkins

These pimpernel napkins are made in China, not England, but they'll hold up well after a few weeks. These are hard tough towels, much more durable than any other towels I have. Just wipe the surface between uses and they're ready to go again. I avoid getting the cork wet. I have Pimpernel cookware and it fits the design perfectly. Color printing is sharp and clear. They look and feel like a quality table setting. The set of four comes in a gift box and is much cheaper than thin rugs from other companies. As for durability, time will tell. They smell a little, but nothing bad. When they arrived my wife aired them on our porch and it helped. I suspect the smell is coming from the glue used to stick the top layer to the cork. The art and design has a classic elegance and is a real eye-catcher on our wooden kitchen table. I am happy to present them 24/7. Now that I've tried mats of this caliber, it would be difficult to go back to thinner and more foldable ones. court
