There are several products with RDAs under 50, and many toothpastes have RDAs of 100+. For reference, the scale starts at 0 and the FDA recommends a maximum abrasion of 200 and the ADA recommends a maximum of 250 to avoid tooth damage. One final note on the abrasiveness of this product: I noticed that several reviewers said not to use it daily as the baking soda is too abrasive. That's not true, the daily dose of baking soda is only 7. You won't ruin your teeth if you use this every day. About taste. The taste is not terrible and not tasty. You can try baking soda. It's about the same as Arm & Hammer toothpaste once you've used it.
