My son is a public school music teacher. He turns the closet into a "sound booth" for his class recordings. Since space is limited, he wanted students to be able to place their tablets on a laptop stand so they have more space to work. In an environment like a classroom, whatever the subject, it needs to be built to withstand some abuse. . I'm curious how it will hold up, but "out of the box" it looks like it will take anything thrown at it. While it's portable, it's not lightweight. It takes some effort to raise your arms and change the angle of the top support - all positive factors for long-term stability. Only time will tell how well it performs as intended, but first impressions are very much in favor of being a good choice.
