I ordered it in XL which fits my measurements. They may work well for men who tend to have tighter, more muscular thighs, but I don't think they work well for women with soft, meaty thighs. The stockings fit everywhere and were just the right length, but the elastic at the top was so tight it was like wearing a tourniquet and it felt like wrapping the elastic tightly around your arm. I could not bear it. We RECOMMEND you purchase BriteLeafs Sheer High Thigh High 20-30MMHg Rigid Support Compression Stockings with an open toe and a locking silicone band. I ordered them in size XL and they fit perfectly and are very comfortable. The top band is wider and stretches more, preventing the tourniquet effect. And it holds up very well unless you have very skinny legs which I don't have.
