Serious test; Intentional puns As the name suggests, it's new, clear, and reliable. It snaps onto the new 3DS XL/LL and fits perfectly, no wobbly nonsense. The hinge is exposed as expected. The edge of the case has a clean cut, but there are a few bits of plastic here and there that can be clipped or sanded down. Due to the tight fit (that's what she said) it leaves a "wet" look where the console touches the case. The case comes without a box, just in a styrofoam bag, but it is packed in a sealed plastic protector that protects it from scratches. You can remove it before attaching the case to the 3DS. That makes the 3DS bulkier, but it's worth it for the extra cost of protection. If you don't have an extra $200 burning a hole in your pocket to buy a new 3DS, then this case isn't for you.
