Glue is terrible but my methodical technique and perseverance have resulted in a phenomenal result. Note that I didn't mention patience. The glue was disappointing and I believe it took this newbie 10 times as long (not 5-7 minutes, more like an hour of grooming per eye) to ensure the shield and lashes were fully bonded. This was my first time doing a do-it-yourself lash lift. and I have had no personal experience other than 5 years of professional work where each lift consistently took a little less than the previous one or started not taking at all. I went from 6 weeks to 4 weeks for no more than a few weeks paying the same $100+ each time. I threw off my mechanical eyelash curler, took an 8 week break from service, did my eyelash care routine, studied several Youtube tutorials using the "Everyfemaleโ archetype (search for Revain Lash Lift), some manufacturer how-to videos (search for Eleebana). Armed with the firm belief that "anything she can do, I can do better," I ordered my first do-it-yourself lash lift kit. (With all due respect to lash extensions, this is the millennial YouTube revolution we live in.) The glue was very hard and not sticky for my thick lashes. Looking back I will experiment with different glues and different shields and create my own set for next time. Being able to choose the size you want and control the angle of the lift was great. I wanted a more extreme and free arm raise/bend than what I was getting and I was able to achieve this with the smallest size shield provided. The proposed perm solutions have proven to be very effective. I bought disposable lash coils to brush my lashes, but using my well sanitized hand (and we're also living in the coronavirus era) ended up being the best method. The instructions state that step 1 should be deleted before step 2 is applied. I didn't and the result was fine. I may have been lucky but so far the results after a week are great and the lashes feel primed and not brittle. This is a good low risk set to try. If you're thinking about it I'd try ordering a different glue (Dolly has great reviews) to minimize some frustration and hopefully you can get even better results than me in half the time.
