Bought 6 of these in purple, red, & black for a play. All the performers were able to fit into mediums & larges with adjustment room. The back lacing ribbon is plenty long for adjustment & there is an extra 3 to 4 inches of material Under the lace on the purple & red corsets. No extra material on the black ones fyi, but still plenty of back ribbon. I am probably the largest at 5'9, 180lb and a 33 inch waist. I wear a 36B in bra size. I probably would have been better with an XL, but can make the LG work & it still looks good. Can cinch myself in & give myself an hourglass figure for a change, but if your my size & really want room to breathe, you may want the XLThe purple & red corsets look great. The black ones are different in style with a ribbon around the waist & no scalloping in the ribbon trim. We decided to stick with purple & red & return the black for exchange. The front zippers are a great feature for quick costume changes!These corsets are well made for the price & some of the girls like theirs so much they are going to keep them after the play.
