Review on Keyboard Mouse Combo Multimedia Waterproof Computer Accessories & Peripherals by Dave Wheeler

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Pretty charming keyboard and mouse combo, but there are (minor) flaws

I had a long detailed review which I lost when Chrome was closed by me. Pooh. Anyway, a shorter version follows. :) Let's start by saying that the keyboard is adorable. The vintage design is aesthetically pleasing and the lettering is clear. The keys are well placed, with the exception of the Delete key, which seems to be forgotten until the end of the design process and then gets stuck where the right CTRL key should be. I couldn't find the paste button either. As someone mentioned in the reviews, it doesn't actually have a numeric keypad, but since I've been running without a numeric keypad for over a year, that's really not a problem for me. The size is PERFECT for me. I have both small hands and a small workspace with a huge monitor and KVM switch, speakers, two laptops, phones, etc. so I have extra space, although the one I switched from was considered a "small keyboard" by Well became. On the other hand, the keys seem to require a bit more pressure than a standard keyboard. The keys also seem to hold up dirt much quicker than a 'regular' keyboard (I already have some dog hair sticking out), but they're also easier to clean. A mouse is more than a travel mouse. The mouse is actually a fairly standard size, although much thinner (flatter). I personally would like it to be smaller. However, what really amazes me (and the reason for only 3 stars) is that the two sets I ordered came in a box sealed with green and transparent tape that said "Quality Control Checked" which Far from convincing me I think they were refurbished and I thought I'd buy a new one. I've included images of it on MSI and ASUS laptop keyboards in hopes of giving readers a clearer idea of the size.**NOTE**EDIT/EDIT: Raised my rating to four stars because I really like it has grown on the heart. I do feel the keys require a bit more pressure, but it's not overwhelming. I forgot to mention that you have to click the mouse to activate it after not using it for a while when it goes to sleep but I really like it, I use a custom cursor/pointer and it keeps the Control over size and design is still the best part. I can take it anywhere and always get compliments on it. Battery life is great. I'm still on the original batteries I used first with no sign of slowing down. I recommend.

Pros
  • Keyboard and mouse combo
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product
