I bought this to stamp words on 1" blocks of wood and it works really well for that. The letters are a little hard to see as they don't stick out very far. I worked on this by lightly rubbing the stamp with an ink pad. (Pictures show with and without ink) The punch/stamp tool is really good. You press on the end until it "pops" and the letter is printed onto your material, no real effort or other tools required. I only had a few issues with the product. It was difficult to determine the orientation of the letter once it was in the punch. To overcome this I used a silver marker to mark the top of the stamp. The case felt a little cheap, but that's to be expected given the price. Also, the stamps will leave some black residue on your fingers, probably from the manufacturing process, but that's ok. Overall this is a good product at a great price.
