Review on ๐Ÿ“ฆ Clear Scotch Recycled Corrugated Tape by Michael Radhakrishnan

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Very good, economical but a bit flimsy

I recently received my first rolls of Scotch recycling tape. I usually pack boxes with something like durable shipping and storage tape, 1.88" x 54.6 yards, but I tried this product because it's longer than a regular roll of tape (100m vs. 54m) and inexpensive. Pros: - Economical, 100m roll - Adhesive is very sticky, so far no problems with the tape peeling off. Disadvantages: - The tape is a bit thin, sometimes it tears strangely when you pull it off - The larger roll just fits into my current tape dispenser. acceptable given the length of the tape, so while recycled tape isn't perfect for sealing corrugated boxes, I'll buy it again when my current rolls run out. (Note: After writing this review I have bought it again and will continue to do so. I found the rolls to be just the right size for the Scotchยฎ DP300-RD Manual Strapping Tape Dispenser.) Edit 05/09/13 - this tape when I bought it was a fair deal at $4.50 a roll - not that much for the $10.70 it sells today! (The price for a box of 36 rolls is a staggering $2.10 per roll, but I really don't want 36 rolls lying around.) Be sure and check prices before you buy.

Pros
  • High marks for hold and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
