Pros: It warms up well and the massage isn't too annoying. And don't squeeze your throat like some do. Cons: I find it too thick, hard and uncomfortable. I don't know why he has an inflatable pear - why do you need a bigger one? I was hoping that if you could inflate the pillow it would also deflate and shrink a bit. Unfortunately this is not the case. The heat/massage controls are tiny. The lamp does not come off, so it hangs sideways and gets in the way. The overall length is too long. The picture shows a woman lying on her back in a comfortable position, which is why I bought this item. With the pillow attached as shown, my head is high and awkwardly tilted forward. To be honest, I wouldn't have resisted. However, my husband loves it and uses it for chronic neck pain, although he agrees it could be less thick and firm.
