I bought this to replace my old Xbox 360 Elite that ran out of hard drive space. I have to say it was worth it. The Gears of War game was amazing. You'll have a $40 pre-order credit, a Savage Kantus pre-order, Adam Fenix, an Infected Omen weapon pack, 2 Gears-inspired controllers, a headset, and a console with 320GB of storage. I like Wi-Fi because it's faster than my PS3 Slim on Wi-Fi and faster than my Elite on a wired connection. The custom open button sound can be a bit hard to hear and the open button is extremely sensitive. The day after I got it, I put my feet on the stand my Xbox was sitting on and pressed the button, luckily I didn't. something about the game I was playing. The sound of the power button is very clear and audible. The system is very quiet but gets very hot. After 30 minutes of play it gets a lot hotter than my Elite after 3 or 4 hours of play but it doesn't turn off even after hours of play. The controllers are smooth and actually painted, no sticker. The battery is black, not red, and when you buy your Smart, you're buying a black plug-and-play charging kit and nobody could even tell. The game is much better than the other two. The campaign seems to have some gameplay differences that took me about 30 minutes to get used to. The beast mode is very addictive, but the maps seem to play a role in how difficult the enemies are. My friend and I played on one map and completed all 12 rounds in 30 minutes, then tried another map with the same difficulty and couldn't help but pass Round 2: I wasn't using a headset because I have a Halo Reach wireless headset have that i use. I could talk about this console forever, but I'd rather play a few games on my console than stay here. When you get it you won't be disappointed.
