Made to last - camping stove

Nice camping stove for big boys. I received a return from the warehouse and the screws were pretty much torn off. Based on some reviews, people try to tighten the leg bolts with a screwdriver instead of using a socket wrench on the nut on the back. The side of the screwdriver is always designed so that the bolt does not rotate. I still tightened them very tightly with the broken screws and the stove worked perfectly in the moose camp. I've seen water boil faster but overall it worked great and is very durable for cast iron pans. Doesn't work on small pots because the corners are too far apart. Not the best in direct wind, but much more durable than a Coleman or similar dual burner briefcase burner. I bought a great Oropane hose from Harbor Freight for $12 which was a great addition to the stove as it had an adjustable regulator attached to it. Bolts ripped out and I had to fix the valve, it was bent and twisted from the messy repacking work. Luckily there was enough brass on the truth handle I was able to smooth it out and still had the threads (now it wasn't sticking out that much and I thought it was very good but luckily that didn't make it junk) it was more Revain Warehouse questions than anything else.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for seniors
