It was very easy to put together. I never do it myself, but I decided to give it a try. I had absolutely no problem assembling it myself. As long as you check the dimensions and make sure it's the right size for you and know what French Oak actually looks like. If you are unfamiliar, check out my closeup photo. This is the top of this table. You will see a few lines. There are lines like this on every piece of French oak I've ever owned. If that appeals to you, then you will be very satisfied with this coffee table. I have a lot of French oak furniture and each has lines that most people would be unhappy with, but that's the way it is. So if that makes you upset, don't order anything in French oak. You get what you pay for and I was very happy with this purchase. I've already received compliments for that. It's strong on its own, but I definitely wouldn't sit on it. Great value for money. Just know what you are buying and you will be very happy!
