This is my favorite shoulder bag I've ever owned. It's not exactly perfect, but I'm giving it 5 stars because it's the closest thing I've found to perfection in years of searching. The best thing about it is the elegant transformation between shoulder bag and small backpack. No extra straps dangling around, no fastening or buckle, just a split second of one or the other. I wanted a small backpack due to some shoulder issues but also wanted easy one handed access to things in the shoulder bag with a reasonable drop length. It is excellent at that. I looked for other bags with a similar strap but only found this one, at least in a smaller size. Other plus points: stylish look. The leather and the overall construction are of high quality. (I do have a little wear in the bottom corners, but that's natural and I will use leather care products to reduce this issue.) There are plenty of pockets for organization. It opens wide and holds quite a bit of stuff, although I had to resort to some Tetris-like abilities to fit everything I wanted due to the trade-off with the smaller overall size. What is not perfect? Well I would probably buy a different color of leather and hardware if I had the chance. I also bought some purse charms to make it a little less easy. Even more disappointing is that the front magnetic pocket is very tight, to the point where my relatively small phone is difficult to get in and out of, even if it's the only one. Giving a little more in the skin would be nice. But overall a very well thought out and well made bag that I expect will use for a long time.
