The blanket set looks exactly like the picture. I was a bit worried that it wouldn't actually look purple, but it goes perfectly with the other pieces in my room. The package arrived within the specified time. I ordered a king size bed and the skirt of the bed is a bit big, but I just put the side with the extra material on the side of the bed that is along the wall. I also order matching curtains and it transformed my room without painting! The duvet itself is thick and soft on the side facing your bed. The top has a glossy sheen that's not too greasy but just enough to add class. You don't need a comforter under your comforter as this comforter will definitely keep you warm throughout the night. A few nights I had to throw off the covers and turn on the ceiling fan. That says a lot as I'm usually cold all the time. My only warning: be careful when making your bed. Do not pull the blanket, otherwise the seams will burst. You need to carefully pull the blanket together so that the seams do not burst. Otherwise the pillows and pillowcases were ok. I love it and don't regret my purchase.
