They're really a good replacement if you don't want to spend hundreds (like my husband). I'm a musical person and a perfectionist - I love my BOSE. Of course there is no comparison to BOSE. But for the average listener who listens to podcasts etc, this is a good buy. Also, it has a light indicator when it is charging. It is very useful to estimate the loading time.
