Review on ✨ Kyocera 17oz. Ceramic Coated Interior, Double Wall Vacuum Insulated, Stainless Steel Travel Mug in Matte Black Finish by Emily Wilson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

1st of 4 tested but most expensive

Compared to Macaron Lock & Lock, Contigo Twistseal 16 oz, Kyocera 17 oz and Funkrin 16 oz. For hours the Macaron held the temperature just as well as the Kyocera and apparently made the same path, and they performed better than the Contigo and Funkrin. The Funkrin has a hinged lid that closes well but doesn't hold up as well as others. The Contigo holds the temperature slightly better than the Funkrin, but the lid feels a bit complicated for my taste. It took some practice to remove the screw cap for washing. Summary: Starting at 200 degrees, after 20 inches, Funkrin was at 187, Contigo was 185, Macaron was 194, and Kyocera was 195. After 2ft 15 inches, they were at 142, 155, 178, and 178. For the price and fun, saw $11 made of macaron seems to be the best option, at least for now. Time will tell if it holds up as well as the $30 Kyocera. More importantly, they all pour equally well into a mocha cup (my favorite type of drink), not a drip, hooray!

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Big and chunky
