Hasn't been working properly for less than 6 months

I bought this mouse in September 2017. It worked as expected until about six weeks ago when it stopped connecting to my laptop, which was just over a year old. I thought it was the mouse drivers or USB port until I plugged in another mouse I have and it works great. I'm disappointed. This is a brand I trust. But maybe they're just good at making high-quality recordable media.
