Review on πŸŽ’ Ultra-Stylish Brooks Hackney Backpack in Classic Black: Perfect for Commuters by Dawn Miranda

And i love her. For this reason

I have two Brooks saddles, b67 and b72, and I really like them. Because of this I decided to try the very expensive Brooks bags hoping the quality would be as good as their saddles. Unfortunately I was wrong. I'm only giving 1 star for quality control/workmanship flaws, if they were fixed it would be a pretty good bag. After 1-2 months of brief use, one of the rivets holding the leather strap holding the top of the reel came loose. I tried putting the rivet back in the button and supergluing it in place, but it popped out again. Then one of the buttons on the top that close the reel cover just popped out. Then I gave the backpack back. The metal rivets used are not glued firmly enough and cannot withstand any stress. Since these rivets basically attach all the straps to the bag and secure the roll top closure, this is a fatal design flaw. For this reason I cannot recommend this bag - nor any other bag from the Brooks line. The stretch mesh water bottle pocket began to loosen and tighten at the top. The straps themselves are very strong and I like the metal. Hooks to attach (although the large metal clips on the shoulder straps can be annoying if you are using the pack while walking rather than riding (since your arms are dangling at the side they will catch on the large metal clips). The material of the bag itself is comfortable - durable and water resistant. The overall design and shape of the bag seems right.
