Made in China or assembled there. I have ordered some items that are from China and have a very strong chemical odor that makes me feel nauseous/dizzy and can cause migraines. ATTENTION! Anyone who is sensitive to chemical vapors should not buy this item! I took it out of the box, washed it and left it outside for 2 days before use, it still smelled slightly of chemicals. I tried to make a special recipe out of this using whipped egg whites/meringue cookies. I tried 3 times. The beaters are so thin and wiry but I couldn't get a good Peaks egg meringue after whipping it and they never came out right so I messed up three batches of cookies thinking it just wouldn't work. So I send the product back and buy a hand mixer with thicker whisks that I know work with beating egg whites. Performance was ok, it was very light which was a plus, I found it very difficult to squeeze the clubs out when I pulled the trigger, I used two hands to pull it. Not good. My old Black & Decker hand mixer worked great for years, I didn't realize there were different types of mixing blades and that they can affect the outcome of a baking recipe! Since I make this egg meringue cookie for the company every week, that was a big deal. sorry no thanks Come back.
