Vendor software required

This card worked great for me. However, to use the hardware encoding in h.264 you need to use the Elgato software (for example I'm using OBS and I'm still stuck on the CPU encoding). Since that's basically the main argument for a basic capture card, I wasn't impressed with the cost. I don't want to be locked into using the manufacturer's software - I've already set up my software and it's not doing what I want it to do. VCR), so I lowered it to 1 start and returned it.
