It heats up very quickly unlike others that take around 30 minutes. The warm-up took about 5 minutes. I bought this as I needed wax immediately and would definitely recommend it. **Update** I had no problems with the waxing machine. I don't drop it and keep it away when not in use. It took a while, but once you get the hang of it, it won't hurt anymore. Don't let the wax runny or you'll burn yourself. It should melt but not be runny or thick. Practice and a lot of research will help.
