This has been my 6yr old granddaughter's favorite toy! She has so much fun on it and it's great exercise at the same time. So far, she has only jumped in the house with it due to the hot weather. But as soon as Fall and cooler weather I am sure she will have as much fun outside as inside. It looks sturdy enough to withstand playing outside but I don't think I would recommend it on asphalt or gravel, it might burst. Which is not a problem as I think it would be dangerous if she fell on a hard surface like asphalt or gravel. I think every kid should have one. It gets them active and they have a blast on it!
