The overall quality of this blanket is good, both in terms of the cotton material and the fit/construction. For 100% cotton, it is relatively soft after the first wash. BUT as mentioned by a number of reviewers, this blanket SHRINKS, quite STRONGLY. I took every precaution and used every trick to reduce the possibility of shrinkage. in the cool water. I have soft water. My dryer is set to ultra-low and I took it out of the dryer when it was still slightly damp and not dry at all. Queen size beds, no extra length to throw them over the sides. Now that's not a big deal for me because I sleep alone in a queen bed so I don't necessarily need extra coverage. But if you want to try this blanket because of its good quality and very reasonable price, I strongly recommend that if you sleep with two people in the same bed, that you buy this Cotton Clinic brand blanket one size larger if possible, and I would think that a king size duvet can shrink so much that it might be uncomfortable for 2 people on the same king size bed.
