Although I could use my phone in them, I was very disappointed with the warmth of the gloves. I first tried them on a hike in Yosemite. It was 31 degrees and my hands were freezing. My hands are usually warm, so I think a person with cold hands will not like them. Luckily I had taken another pair that were slightly larger but much warmer. Again, use them below freezing.
