Stopped after a few months. The back opened, can not take out the battery without destroying the metal parts that cover it, so. NO, you cannot change the battery. Disappointed, I liked this watch. *** UPDATE 6/14/15: After the clock stopped working I got another one hoping the first one was just a lemon because I really like the design. Although it says it's water resistant, I kept it away from water. I work in healthcare and wash my hands often so my wrists sometimes got wet which I tried to wipe off in case I exposed the watch to too much water the last time. Despite caution, the same problem. First, time slows down, causing the clock to lag about 10 minutes. Then half an hour, then hours, and every time I turn the clock back it's still behind. Then it stops altogether and again you can't replace the battery, but I still don't think it's the battery. Something is wrong with these watches, they don't even last a few months. Downgraded from 2 to 1 star. Too bad Casio won't fix it, it's a great design for medics (used hand, wartime, date). cheat on me twice
