I have to admit that I like her a lot more than I expected - ha! I bought them thinking they would be battery operated but they are not. (I've just looked at so many that I'm confused.) Anyway, I thought I might use them on a window where an outlet is close enough. (They have a fairly short cord, so you'll probably need to use an extension cord.) They don't pretend to be real candles, they don't flicker or move, and neither should they. They are what they are. They have a somewhat nostalgic look and I love them. They shine bright, much brighter than the batteries I ended up ordering. I try not to start decorating for Christmas before Thanksgiving, the forgotten holiday, but I couldn't resist turning them on and enjoying them here in my office.
