I wavered between 3 and 4 stars for this rating. On the one hand, the suction/adhesion seems great so far, the hand feels firm and I'm not worried about my phone falling out when the clamps are closed. my experience with this product. The most annoying thing, which I haven't found a workaround for, is how long it takes for the side clips to close when you put your phone in the holder. There's nothing worse than putting your phone back on the unit at a red light and accelerating, only to have your phone slam into the rear seat floor panel because the auto-lock sensor hasn't registered it yet. Another inconvenience for me is a similar problem. Touching the phone's screen while it is installed and accidentally releasing the clips. This leads to the same situation of dropping your phone when you need it to navigate. I was able to reduce this by being very careful not to touch the back of the phone, but it still happens from time to time even though I haven't touched the charging part. I'll keep using this thing because while it's tiring, leaving it there for 3 seconds when you put it back on isn't the biggest thing. But if I had to go back and buy a different item, I'd probably go for one of the magnetic mounts that use adhesive to hold the magnet to your phone. Auto-lock clips are too cumbersome and I hate my phone flying through red lights.
