Slim (I think it's because there are only two wires inside, but idk.) but still thicker than the original DS charging cable (it definitely only has two wires). It definitely does the trick and powers my DSi XL. Note that if you use 5V, you are technically charging at a higher voltage than Nintendo intended. However, it seems that most DS consoles using this connection can handle it very well. Just make sure you do some research before hooking up his. Also, I would advise against using cheap chargers when charging something as valuable as your DS.
