Review on Sewing machine Janome Sewist 521, white by Edyta Adamczewska ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best thing I've ever used, I recommend it to everyone!

I have never done sewing on a machine, but here I decided to do it. In a week I mastered the technique, repaired all the clothes that needed it, sewed trousers and shirts in, I plan to have tailoring from scratch. For the home - generally an indispensable model. I sewed myself a bag for a tool from a tarpaulin (!) With a 2022 needle No. 100, but with a German thread (for strength).

Pros
  • 1. Quiet, the engine does not make noise, the mechanics only rustle. Nothing heats up from the lamp, I specifically checked it, as someone complained about it. I think Japanese engineers know what they are doing. 2. The presence of a "fast-slow" switch on the pedal itself. By the way, its presence is not mentioned anywhere, I mean descriptions on the Internet. In combination with pressing the pedal, you can sew very slowly, which is simply necessary for a beginner to master the sewing technique. 3. Heavy, and therefore stable. 4. Easily pierces dense tissues. 5. The seams are smooth and strong.
Cons
  • I did not find any shortcomings, although I tried to find them.
