My girlfriend and I tested it on our trusty scale. We also took a 10lb weight and a 3lb weight to see if it would change exactly. The scale has changed the correct amount. This has provided correct results for people under and over 200 pounds. The results of each test ranged from 0.5 to 1 lb. I haven't found a super accurate scale yet, but this one was way better than my old scale. I hated my old scale because the scale displayed numbers that went up and down at an incredible speed. It was always inaccurate and gave different readings each time. This one is similar in that it displays numbers in ascending/descending order, but slower and fixed on the same number. It doesn't differ by more than 0.5-1 lb. It's not 100% accurate, but again I haven't found 100%. This is pretty decent when reading the same number in multiple tests. My old scale gave wrong and mixed readings for people over 200lbs (I threw it away immediately as it was useless to me). So far, this works equally well for people under 200 and over 200. As for the app, I didn't find the readings to be too accurate. It's interesting to see and compare the results over time, but I don't trust their accuracy. The app's accuracy may be lacking, but it's the accuracy of the weight measurement that makes this scale great. They are compact but larger than our current rugged scales (10"x10"). It's 12" x 12" with more standing space, just what we were looking for in the new scale. I give the app 1 star but as a scale it works much better than the previous ones and has similar results to my current reliable scale. I like that it's bigger than my old one, so I'll definitely be using it from now on.
