I'm not entirely sure what others have heard about the quiet fan that it's supposed to be. a portable frameless version of the 80mm fan that Arctic Cooling once made (I've seen their heatsinks lately. Do they still make case fans?) As far as the functionality of the fan moving air, it's top notch. The stand is well weighted, the fan spins and moves as much air as I would expect from an 80mm fan. The neck is adjustable as promised. In fact, if you want an 80mm fan that's also USB powered, it's probably the best you can get right now. I'm probably not exaggerating when I say there's nothing quite like it on the market. However, it has disadvantages: - The fan makes noise when running at low speed and noticeable vibration when moving at maximum speed. - The fan is plastic and cheap with no covers. , will cut you if you're not careful - The switch is tough and feels cheap. I won't lie - I don't really like the fan. If Noctua made such a fan I would buy it in a heartbeat. Instead, we get these and possibly Thermaltake. Since there is practically no competition, I doubt whether I should leave it.
