Review on ๐Ÿ”Œ Queen Size Ultra Soft Plush Electric Heated Warming Blanket with Safe & Warm Low-Voltage Technology, Natural - Perfect Fit by George Saunier

Revainrating 1 out of 5

This is NOT a regular electric blanket and includes a heat reflective layer - think before you buy!

First of all, this blanket is very soft and looks very high quality. The controls are easy to understand and I particularly liked the separate low-voltage power supplies. So I give Soft Heat a 5 for the design and materials. I have issues with the fact that the blanket appears to contain a special heat-reflective interior that aids in the operation of the heater, but has the unintended consequences of the blanket nearly suffocating users. since the ceiling cannot breathe. The blanket makes a faint rustling noise when you move it due to the material woven into the layers. Even with the heating off and only separate sheets, we couldn't stand the heat reflection effect and it was so stuffy that we had to remove the blanket after only a few nights. Those were cold nights so I can only imagine how this will affect users in warmer climates than ours. Many years ago we bought a product to put under a mattress pad that was supposed to reflect heat. It was dรฉjร  vu because we had to abandon this "space blanketโ€ as it was called for the same reasons. We forgot after so many years, but it was so hot that after only a few hours it made us sweat. So for those considering this Soft Heat Ultra Micro-Plush Low Voltage Duvet: it insulates you and doesn't let the linens breathe. The heating works very well, but once you're warm even turning the blanket off won't stop you from warming up to the point where some of us just can't take the full reflection of body heat. Consider wearing clothing material that is not breathable - it will be very uncomfortable in most situations. Unfortunately I had to return the duvet as it seemed to be of really good quality. I will be buying a more conventional duvet like the Sunbeam duvet which we are replacing after 11 years of use.
