My daughter has been wearing them almost every day for two months now. The soles are still in great shape. I had to throw them in the washing machine after a hike in the woods after a heavy rain. The dirt didn't stain and the shoes survived a delicate wash in cold water perfectly. Air dried for two days. Shoes don't fit properly. She has autism and severe sensory problems in her legs. She hates socks or tight shoes. She mostly lives in flip flops until I bought these boots. If your child is like him but needs cooler footwear, I recommend Crocs wellies. For winter these boots are perfect and I will be buying more in larger sizes.
