Durable and super soft jersey for long, comfortable wear and easy washing. Advertised as jersey denim, whatever it is. Not at all like denim or stretch denim which are woven and strong. This is a very lightweight denim jersey reminiscent of lightweight denim but has a much better drape and makes for a much more comfortable, cozy and soft dress. at least as long as our granddaughter wears this size, if not longer. The dress is unadorned and would look great with any color combination of bows, leggings, socks etc. But here I confess that I am addicted to embellishing clothes with pre-made embellishments, appliques or machine embroidery like I did on this dress and as seen in the photo. Note: the collar looks crooked in the photo, but that's how I positioned it, and the dress in the photo looks less powdery blue than it really is. The dress has a straight collar, cuffs and hem suitable for line embroidery. which I made in three rows of red viscose thread. Because the fabric is of good quality, it didn't stretch or pucker when sewn, although I used a water soluble stabilizer under the seams. But in some places the fleece has shifted and the fabric has still held up well under the weight of the dense embroidery. I plan on getting more because I can transform them from plain to couture on my car in a few minutes of fun.
