We really like our fans and can share the following important facts: 1.) The fans we buy are quite fragile so don't mishandle them. Periodically tighten the middle portion of the fastener to the LOWER portion of the fan stand base. 2.) DO NOT force, use the lock nut to adjust the angle of the fan up or down by first loosening the nut and then adjusting the fan. Very carefully adjust the cage to the desired angle and then tighten the loosened nut. between up and down angle settings. 4.) DO NOT touch the fan by the fan cage when transporting it! Lift it only by the vertical support of the stand to move it from place to place. I recommend CheereML for this good, quiet and inexpensive product
