Known amplifier defect, poor sound

I strongly advise against purchasing this speaker due to a known amplifier defect and poor sound quality. Trusound knows these units have an amplifier defect, but they will sell it to you with no problem. I bought my wife a T2 from an online dropshipping store (Touch of Modern) for Christmas 2014. moderate use. I contacted Trusound who replaced this speaker for free and said it was a known issue. After two months of moderate use in an amp swap, the speaker also failed. My speaker has been used for less than 6 months and Trusound is not responding to my emails. I hate throwing away both speakers but Trusound seem to void their warranty so I'll probably just take one apart and see if I can replace the amp myself. I just bought a Bose Soundlink for $135 ($50 more than the T2) and I'm 1000% happier (actually amazed) with the sound quality and I'm a lot more confident that the company will honor their own warranty if they do it that way ever want to have problems. Bose has deeper bass than expected, very clear mids and balanced highs. Instrumental music and human voices sound equally good from Soundlink. On the other hand, the T2 emulates speech well, but the vocals and instruments sound terrible. I wanted to like this speaker but I'm really disappointed with the T2 product and Trusound as a company. Edit: Other reviews with positive remarks about the sound quality make no sense to me. Either other users have T2s that sound completely different than mine (before mine broke) or they confuse high volume with high sound quality. It's true that this is a speaker, but there's very little bass, the mids are muddy and the highs overwhelm the lows. I would encourage future reviewers to differentiate between speaker volume and sound quality. I just don't know how else to describe the sound of this speaker as bad. If you have an issue with any of these speakers, you can try contacting CEO Dennis Reagan at desk@trusoundaudio.com. There is no phone number. If you decide to buy this speaker, good luck. Just know that if you spend another $50 and buy a Bose Soundlink, you're not out of luck.
