The widescreen LCD replaced my 19 inch Veiwsonic CRT and was prompted by a new PC purchase. This monitor's analog and digital inputs allowed me to use it with an old PC while waiting weeks for my new PC to arrive. with the latest digital graphics cards. The drivers that came with the monitor were a thing of the past, and the 64-bit Vista driver was available for download from the Viewsonic website. The monitor also worked properly with normal Windows drivers (Vista x64). other inexpensive monitors in stores and found they lacked features like digital and analog input sources or the ability to adjust height and tilt. separate speaker system. The default screen setting was unusually bright and I turned the brightness down before working with the monitor. The controls aren't user-friendly, but they're not used often. The color quality of my digital photo collection is very good. A knowledgeable friend noticed the photo quality for the price. (Photographer disclaimer, I did NOT host an official color celebration.) I don't need a CRT for imaging. I also use an LCD in my office. It's a far cry from Viewsonic's standard for picture quality and features (plus a few dead pixels). A widescreen would be perfect for my spreadsheets, a swivel stand for visiting colleagues, and speakers for terrible PC sound.
