One of the legs is 1/2 inch shorter than the other 3. I will cut the other 3 shorter but this had to be accommodated during the manufacturing process. It was a good attempt at making a good shop stool, but they trimmed wherever they could, from a cheap cast metal brace to small pieces of which they perforated the tube in the leg rest to a cheap excuse for that To fill. I guess I shouldn't compare it to a good quality stool, but it's the same quality as the $39 stools sold at Northern Tool and possibly from the same manufacturer. Garage and only use it for an hour, that's good. If you work on things and sit at a workbench for hours, then get something better. I tried going the cheap route and it didn't work.
